Making Bingo
Bingo cards, list of 80 words. After receiving very good feedback about our program, we decided to honor our mission and make sure that generating all kinds of bingo cards is accessible and free for everyone. You can now create your own personalized bingo cards containing your own list of words or phrases (also known as Buzzword Bingo). The Bingo Card Creator creates a custom set of sight words bingo cards. You can use one (or more) of the existing lists of sight words and/or use your own custom word list. To create your Bingo Cards: Under Number of Bingo Cards, use the dropdown box to select the number (1 – 30) of Bingo.
Over time, residents (and staff) can get tired of playing the same games, day after day. To ease the monotony, consider spicing up your bingo games to create more interest for you and your residents. Here's how:
Create and print custom bingo cards for an entire classroom in few minutes. Tell computer how many bingo cards you want - it will make every card scrambled and unique. - Add a Double Bingo. Consider giving out two prizes to the winner at a special monthly bingo game.
- Organize bingo games with current holidays. Create bingo cards on your computer that relate to the season. For instance, during the summer, create B-E-A-C-H cards instead of the regular B-I-N-G-O cards.
- Play swap bingo. If your residents are agreeable, during the middle of a game have residents swap places in which they swap seats with another player and take on that new bingo card as their own. In contrast, in between games, ask residents to swap bingo cards.
- Vary the ways to win. Instead of only winning by having five chips in a row, consider playing four corners (each of the four corners must be covered), X-pattern or L-pattern (making the letter on the board), or cover-all (covering the whole board).
- Take residents to a bingo game outside of your facility. Search for opportunities in your community to take residents to places that host bingo games in hopes of bringing in more customers, like a local Wal-Mart or restaurant.
- Use play money to use at a Bingo Auction. Instead of having to buy prizes and give them out at each bingo game, create play money to pass out to residents when they win. At the end of the month, host a fun bingo auction in which residents use their play money to bid on prizes. See our article The #1 Way to Get Residents to Stop Complainting About Your Bingo Prizes.
- Add music. Create bingo cards that have titles of songs instead of numbers. When a song is played, have residents locate the title on their card and cover it with a bingo chip.
- Add trivia. Create cards that contain trivia information instead of numbers. For example, make bingo cards that just have different state names inside each box. During the game, give clues about each state and have residents cover their answers with a bingo chip.
- Add pictures. Download famous faces into your bingo cards that your residents will recognize. During the game, give trivia about the people and see if the residents can guess who you are talking about before covering their picture with a bingo chip.
- Add food and drinks. Plan a fun bingo game while serving a particular food or drink. For example, once per month, host a fun non-alcoholic beverage bingo, like Piña Colada Punch Bingo or Virgin Daiquiri Bingo.
Family game night is a great way to create memories while promoting healthy competition. Some classic board games that were in rotation during my childhood are Monopoly, Clue, and The Game of Life (my personal favorite). One game turned into two, then three, and before we knew it, hours went by filled with laughter and entertainment. After a while, our favorite games became repetitive, and it was time for something new. Thankfully, there are games you can make at home, so you don't have to spend a dime!
Bingo is the perfect game to get the entire family involved. It's easy to learn and helps pass the time while enjoying the company of loved ones. Each player gets a card with a set of random numbers and a free space. The host draws a number, and if it's on your card, mark that square. The first person to get five squares in a row shouts 'Bingo' to claim their victory then reads aloud the marked squares.
In this article, I'll show you how to make a custom printable bingo card for your next game night. You can make different versions for holidays, seasons, and special occasions like a wedding or baby shower.
- Set the canvas size
- Make a header
- Create a bingo grid
- Add numbers and a free space
Set the Canvas Size
We'll be creating a custom bingo card in Kapwing, a free online photo, and video editor. Let's start with creating the canvas and header. Open Kapwing Studio and click Get Started. Click Start with a Blank Canvas, then Custom Size. Type 2400 X 3000 for the output size. These dimensions are for an 8x10 size bingo card.
To help you get started, click the button below to use our printable bingo card template!
Make a Header
Click Elements and choose the rectangle. Resize the rectangle to fit the top of the canvas. With the shape selected, choose a color from the color panel or type in a hex code for a custom color. Click Text, select a font, and type Bingo. Increase the font size so the title fits the rectangle.

Create a Bingo Grid
Now, let's create a grid for our numbers. Click Elements and choose the line shape. Place five horizontal lines across the canvas, evenly spaced apart, starting underneath the header.
Make four vertical lines and space them apart to create a 5X5 bingo grid.
Add numbers and a free space
All we need to add are numbers and a free space to complete our custom bingo card. Click Text to add your first number. Click Duplicate to type additional numbers that are the same size. You can use text, a symbol, or a picture for the free space. I clicked Elements and added a star to center of the bingo card.
Making Bingo Cards
In addition to numbers, you can use images and text for your bingo card. For example, images of a caramel apple, pumpkin, and boots would be great for a fall-themed bingo card. A tv-show themed bingo card could have boxes with popular phrases and character names. When you're happy with the final results, click Export Image then, Download.
When you're ready to print, make sure to click the correct paper size and Fill Entire Paper in your printer settings.
I hope this printable bingo card will come in handy when hosting your next family gathering. Get creative and make templates for different themes to keep the fun going. For more content, make sure to subscribe to Kapwing App on YouTube and follow us on Twitter at @KapwingApp.
